Beekeeper

Job description

Worker will perform all activities related to beekeeping which include making splits, checking for weak hives and replacing queens when necessary.

- Worker must have knowledge on how to feed and treat bees.
- Worker must be able to move and lift beehives weighing around 70 pounds.
- Take the honey off the beehives and extract the honey.
- Barrel the honey into drums.
- Worker needs to have at least three months of experience on the job.
- Worker needs to be able to drive trucks to bee locations.

Orozco Honey requires workers with a Driver License, or they will need to obtain a standard driver's license that allows them to operate most vehicles, including cars and trucks used in our daily operations. Orozco Honey will cover the costs associated with the driver’s license and will also compensate drivers for their transportation related time, including actual driving time, processing paperwork, trips to the gas station and cleaning the vehicle. If a worker does not have a driver license, we make sure at least one worker with a driver license can take those who do not drive to get their groceries or do their errands.
