Food Preparation Workers

Job description

Duties may include: Preparation of a variety of food, wash, peel, cut, serve, preparation dining area. Worker will be supervised by chef as to duties performed. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware. Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage. Take and record temperature of food and food storage areas such as refrigerators and freezers. Wash, peel, and cut various foods, such as fruits and vegetables, to prepare for cooking or serving & other related Food Preparation Workers activities as per SOC/OES 35-2021 (onetonline.org).

Possible daily/weekly hours: 7:00AM-3:00PM or 3:00PM-11:00PM. 40+ (plus) to include lunch break, M-F. Possible weekend/holiday work. (Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. If overtime is worked, wage is paid at a rate of time and a half per hour worked beyond 40 hours each week.)

Special Requirements

Must be 18 due to served alcohol. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified.
