Job description

Job duties include but are not limited to:
Operate and drive tractors and other farm machinery to plant, spray, cultivate, harvest, and store grain crops.
Attach farm implements such as chisel plows, discs, drills, and planters to tractors.
Prepare fields for planting by picking and rolling rocks, tilling soil, and applying fertilizers and pesticides as directed.
Plant and cultivate grain crops including beans, canola, corn, spring wheat, barley and dry beans.
Tow and operate harvesting equipment.
Load and unload harvested crops; transport to storage or processing locations.
Clean, maintain, and assist with the repair of the grain bins and feed storage areas. Cultivate and manage grass for hay production.
Operate equipment to rake, bale (round bales), and haul hay
Collect, stack, and transport hay bales using tractors and skid steers.
Move hay to storage locations or secondary markets.
Feed, water, herd and graze livestock.
Assist with animal health and breeding, including birthing, castration, branding, weighing, catching, and loading animals.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and insecticides under supervision.
Maintain and repair livestock fencing and pens. Perform routine maintenance on tractors, trucks, and other farm machinery, including lubrication, fluid checks, and minor repairs.
Conduct pre-season repairs and in-season service of farm equipment. Clean and maintain machinery, tools, and vehicles using power washers and hand tools.
Maintain workshop and tool organization.
Clean, repair, and maintain agricultural buildings, grain bins, and feed storage facilities.
Operate small equipment such as lawn mowers, weed cutters, and power tools.
Perform general maintenance of farm grounds, fences, and driveways.
Assist with construction or repair of fences and other farm structures as needed.
Drive trucks to haul crops, hay, feed, supplies, tools, or farm workers between fields and storage areas.
Tow trailers and equipment as required for field operations.
Time will be given for breaks as agreed between worker and employer.
Crops: beans, canola, corn, spring wheat, barley, dry beans and grass for hay
