Job description
Performs duties like: Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Grain handling and maintenance of grain bins. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers. Maintain rice irrigation systems. Farming with: Rice, Soy Beans
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English.
