Job description

Workers will operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow, fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest grass and hay crops. Other duties are to clean, spray, load/unload bins and trucks; apply pesticides; perform post-harvest clean up and other related activities. Make and repair stock ponds, feeding and caring for cattle. Workers may also construct or repair fences, farm buildings and participate irrigation activities. 2 months of verifiable experience in cattle ranching is required for the safety and well being of the workers, livestock and crops. Worker will drive a company to and from the worksites and will need a Texas drivers license within 30 days of arrival.

Special Requirements

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. The employer may request additional work hours based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only.
