Job description
GROUND CREW APPLICATION: Workers will provide ground support for an agricultural aerial
application business. Work each day will occur for an active farm in primary support of
agricultural commodities such as corn, soybeans, rice, hay, and wheat. Duties will include: Fuel
the plane by connecting and disconnecting fuel hose to and from the airplane. Mix chemicals -
Read and understand a load ticket. Load the plane with chemical by connecting and
disconnecting load hose to and from plane. Load plane with fertilizer by driving and operating
loading equipment as well as operate forklift. Be able to use shovels to assist in poly-pipe
installation and irrigation pipe. 3 months experience required. Clean all equipment daily. Mow
airstrips. General facility maintenance. Field cultivation and preparation using agricultural
equipment as needed. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters
to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate,
harvest and move/store grain crops. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production,
such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be
exposed to extreme temperatures. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must
be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with
additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion. Workers must be responsible, follow instructions, and comply with attendance, punctuality, and work schedules,
as repeated absenteeism, failure to meet job expectations, misconduct, insubordination, or violations of safety
