Harvester / Farm Laborer

Job description

Duties include manual hand labor for broccoli, string bean, corn, baby leaf lettuce, arugula, spinach, spring mix, cilantro, watermelon, blueberry, and blackberry crops. Activities include planting, harvesting, and grading broccoli; maintenance, staking, tying and harvesting string beans; harvesting corn; grading baby leaf lettuce, arugula, spinach, spring mix, and cilantro, all of which is machine harvested; planting, laying plastic and irrigation, grading and on-farm packing watermelon; harvesting, grading and field packing blueberry and blackberry. Other duties include general farm labor such as, but not limited to, weeding, pruning, performing maintenance on the farm and cleanup. This job will be done under extreme weather conditions such as heat, direct sunlight, cold weather, possible rain, wind, and exposure to pollen. Repetitive physical conditions such as prolonged walking, standing, heavy bending, stooping, reaching and lifting will be involved on a regular basis.
