Job description
We need seasonal employees to assist with our crop production season. Must be able to operate tractors to cultivate, plant, fertilizer and harvest crops. Must be able to operate a combine, tractor and grain cart and drive a semi-truck and trailer to get crops from field to elevators/storage bins. Must be able to complete daily maintenance of irrigation systems including engines to pump water. Center pivot sprinkler system knowledge to operate and repair sprinklers. Must be able to do routine maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, combines, tractors, sprayers, pickups and other farm equipment. Must have experience spraying crops and operating a sprayer. No commercial truck driving is required. Employer may, at its sole discretion, provide pay increases based on longevity or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.
Special Requirements
Job requires extensive sitting, walking, frequent stooping and repetitive movements. We will conduct random post-hire drug screening at the employer expense since we operate a drug-free workplace. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have a regular driver's license or equivalent. Require 3 months experience.
