Job description
Performs duties like: Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate a variety of grains like wheat, corn, barley, canola, durum. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and incidental repair to farm machinery. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers. Assist in all operations of harvest of grain crops on our farm. General seasonal farmstead upkeep and maintenance, land improvement like rock removal, mowing, picking rocks, running the Joker, running the Salford, running the Harrow. Assist in seed cleaning and production of seed. Receive, unload, separate, classify, and test canola, wheat, durum, flax, soybean, and barley. Treat seed with pesticides and fungicides. Condition, store, monitor, and log all seed received and processed. Clean trucks, equipment, and storage bins before and after each load of seed. General seasonal farm duties, as assigned. Drive to town to pickup farm supplies. Farming with: Barley, Beans, Canola, Corn, Dry Beans, Pinto Beans, Spring Wheat
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion. Workers must be responsible, follow instructions, and comply
