Job description
Seasonal work is performed to prepare land for planting, planting, maintaining, harvesting, and storing commodities. During the cold months farming activities are at a minimum. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, manure spreaders, operate other farm equipment, engage in planting, weeding, spraying and/or harvesting activities, manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery, operate equipment to harvest crops operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops, clean equipment or facilities, harvest agricultural products, maintain operational records, operate farming equipment, operate irrigation systems, plant crops, trees, or other plants, prepare land for agricultural use. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience.
Special Requirements
Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures, extensive pushing or pulling, extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, repetitive movements. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have a regular driver's license. Requires 3 months farm experience.
