Job description
Must be able to operate John Deere Tractors w/ bush hogs ranging safely and competently from seven feet to a fifteen-foot batwing for the purpose of mowing right of ways. Must be able to follow all safety rules for mowing along public highways and turn rows. Must be able to operate chainsaw, weed eater and other handheld cutting equipment. workers will be responsible for day-to-day greasing, fueling, cleaning, minor mechanical repairs and other general maintenance measures that must be performed. General knowledge of ATV/UTV operations is needed too for the purpose of conducting inspections. Also, herbicide spraying will be performed on a scheduled program during the growing season. Workers must be able to engage in extensive physical activities for a long period of time and endure the heat and other adverse weather conditions. A strong back is required. Basic English literacy and math skills required. Job duties will require employees to be outdoors for extended periods of time when temperatures may exceed 100 degrees. Sitting for a long period of time on tractors and mowing equipment. Operating equipment for baling hay.
