Job description
Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Clean, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment with by hand and using pneumatic, hydraulic and other tools; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and other large, specialized self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with precision GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as potatoes; Attach implements using hand tools. Must speak and understand English to communicate with farm management safely.
Special Requirements
Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Employer will comply with OAR 437-002-0156, OAR 437-003-0005 and OAR 437-007-0004 as applicable.
