Crops: Blueberries

Workers will prune, pick, select, grade, pack and sort blueberries by hand. Workers must pick dry blueberries only. Workers will pick blueberries according to color, ripeness, and firmness. Workers will pick berries and put them into dry 1-gallon buckets, then carry buckets to the dumper to weigh. Workers will restack lugs and stack lugs onto trailers. Workers may mechanically pick blueberries by sitting on the picking machine and changing lugs when they are full of berries picked by the machine.

Workers may hoe, till, fertilize, weed, thin, prune, plant, replace plants, clean areas, trash, make boxes, wash lugs, clean equipment, sanitize all work areas daily, sweep debris, mop, clean restrooms, lugs, and trailers.

Workers must wash hands thoroughly before and after picking blueberries, and after every break. Workers must have good hand/eye coordination to pick high quality blueberries.

Special Requirements

We require two months of recent and verifiable experience within the past two years for the job duties listed. This position requires a minimum of two months for the employee to get a full understanding of the job and responsibilities. Must be able to understand work & safety instructions in English or Spanish, the languages spoken and written in the workplace. Drug testing is conducted at employer's expense after a work-related accident or upon reasonable suspicion.
