Job description
Perform duties on a farm like drive and operate harvesting machines on client's farms. Typical
harvest equipment may include: large and small balers, self propelled windrowers, pull type
windrowers, rakes, tractors, telehandlers, and front end loaders. Drive trucks to haul crops,
supplies, tools, or farm workers. Service machinery and make incidental in-field repairs.
Between harvest jobs will be working on equipment to prepare for upcoming harvest jobs. Will
also be re-baling large bales into small bales at the main farm.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of
operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug
screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent
stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing
physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety
