Job description

Workers will assist with all aspects of general greenhouse labor such as: crop production, crop maintenance, growing assistance and shipping functions as well as general maintenance of the premises from approximately February 16, 2026 through July 18, 2026. A list of all vegetables, herbs, fruits, and greens include: kale, strawberries, peppers, oregano, dill, thyme, rosemary, tomatoes, greens, zucchini, cucumber, chives, basil, peppermint, spearmint, green beans, squash, chards, sage, citronella, spinach, cilantro, asparagus and variety of flowers.
Workers will fill pots, baskets and flats with soil using hand or gardening tools or by a machine, plant, tag product, water, fertilize, and move plants in pots, hanging baskets, and flats in a greenhouse. Water, package, load and unload products from a truck or rack outside of greenhouse near loading dock. Lay driplines and tarps and insert driplines in pots and hanging baskets, Install irrigation system in greenhouse facility. Hand and gardening tools are used to tack-down tarp. Clean-up trash and maintain a clean facility inside and outside greenhouse. Cut grass with hand tools or mower, pull and spray weeds and mulch within and around greenhouse facility. Fix greenhouse racks. Grease tires on carts and racks. Workers must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., Team Lifting will be allowed for any job tasks that require lifting anything over 75lbs., will frequently bend stoop and stand for long periods, be exposed to extensive pushing, pulling, walking and repetitive movements, and must have 2 months verifiable work experience in a greenhouse setting or in nursery production.
PRIMARY TASKS WILL INCLUDE NURSERY WORK. WORKERS WILL PERFORM ANY OF THE FOLLOWING DUTIES: PULLING WEEDS, PICKING UP STONES AND ROOTS, REMOVAL OF REFLECTIVE TARPS THAT ARE IN THE ROWS, CLEANING EQUIPMENT, REMOVAL OF STRINGS AND WIRE FROM TRELLISES, AND OTHER HAND TASKS. WORKER MAY BE REQUIRED TO ENGAGE IN TASKS INVOLVED IN THE CARE FOR YOUNG TREES, SUCH AS WEEDING, TREE TRUNK PAINTING, AND HAND CLIPPING. INSTRUCTIONS AND OVERALL SUPERVISION AND DIRECTION OF THE WORKERS WILL BE PROVIDED BY A COMPANY SUPERVISOR. ALL WORKERS HIRED PURSUANT TO THIS LABOR CERTIFICATION MUST BE ABLE TO COMPREHEND AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS OF A COMPANY SUPERVISOR AND COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY TO SUPERVISORS. UNUSUAL, COMPLEX, OR NON-ROUTINE ACTIVITIES WILL BE SUPERVISED. EMPLOYER RETAINS FULL DISCRETION TO MAKE WORK ASSIGNMENTS, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES SUCH AS WEATHER OR OTHER UNSCHEDULED/UNEXPECTED INTERRUPTIONS IN REGULAR WORK. ALL WORKERS MUST PERFORM THE WORK ASSIGNED BY THE FOREMAN OR CREW BOSS. WITHOUT SPECIFIC AUTHORIZATION BY THE FOREMAN OR CREW BOSS, WORKERS MAY NOT PERFORM DUTIES WHICH ARE NOT PROVIDED FOR IN THIS APPLICATION, OR WORK IN AREAS NOT ASSIGNED. WORKERS WILL BE EXPECTED TO PERFORM ANY OF THE LISTED DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY HIS/HER SUPERVISOR. WORKERS MAY NOT LEAVE THEIR JOB ASSIGNMENT AREA UNLESS AUTHORIZED. LEAVING JOB AREA OR FARM WITHOUT PERMISSION MAY BE CONSIDERED VOLUNTARY RESIGNATION. PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK ON OR AFTER THE DATE OF NEED, WORKERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO ATTEND AN ORIENTATION ON WORKPLACE RULES, POLICIES AND SAFETY INFORMATION. WORKERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO PERFORM REPETITIVE MOVEMENTS, ENGAGE IN EXTENSIVE WALKING, AND WORK ON FEET WHILE IN BENT POSITIONS FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME. ALLERGIES TO ITEMS SUCH AS RAGWEED, GOLDENROD, INSPECT SPRAY, AND RELATED CHEMICALS, MAY AFFECT WORKERS ABILITY TO PERFORM THIS JOB. WORKERS SHOULD BE PHYSICALLY ABLE TO DO THE WORK REQUIRED WITH OR WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION. WORK IS TO BE DONE FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. TEMPERATURES MAY RANGE FROM BELOW FREEZING TO 105 F. WORKER MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK IN IN WET CONDITIONS AND SHOULD HAVE SUITABLE CLOTHING FOR VARIABLE WEATHER CONDITIONS. WORKERS MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK DURING OCCASIONAL SHOWERS NOT SEVERE ENOUGH TO STOP FIELD OPERATIONS. SATURDAY WORK IS REQUIRED OF ALL WORKERS.ALL WORKERS MUST BE ABL

Special Requirements

Employee must be able to pick up and package 75lb bags of soil or other greenhouse materials or plant. Must be able to carry packed soil a minimum of 150 ft to palletize them. Employees must be able to pack shipping boxes with live plant trays that accumulate to a total of 75 lbs per box, once trays are packed into boxes they will need to be moved by hand a minimum of 100 feet to new area. Employees must be able to lift 75lb pots onto planting line to be prepared to be planted, once planted they must lift them off planting line onto carts once on carts moved to prop area and laid down into prop area moving pots a minimum of 150 ft. This is to be performed a minimum of 6 hrs per day repetitively. Team Lifting will be allowed for any job tasks that require lifting
anything over 75lbs.
