Job description
We operate a row crop farm where we plant, raise, harvest and haul corn and seed beans. We need employees to assist with all aspects of farming these crops including planting, harvesting, spraying, harvesting and drive farm trucks to hauling these crops. Employees will need to operate a variety of farm equipment including tractors and farm semi-trucks to complete these tasks. Employees will also assist with general farm duties such as cleaning grain bins, mowing lawns/ditches, running application equipment and grounds keeping. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. No commercial truck driving is required. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at the previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
Special Requirements
Job requires extensive walking, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements, frequent stooping and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license or equivalent within 30 days of hire. Require 3 months experience.
