Job description

Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables, fruits, mushrooms and field crops. Raise broiler chickens, slaughter, and pack. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives. Duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; applying pesticides; or cleaning, grading, sorting, packing, and loading harvested products. May construct trellises, repair fences and farm buildings, or participate in irrigation activities. Mix chemicals ingredients and spray vegetables/fruit to control insects, fungus, weeds, or diseases. Other duties may include operation of farm machinery, repair and maintenance of machinery as well as building maintenance. Operation of motor vehicles a must. Class D license required. Must be physically able to lift up to 75 lbs on a consistent basis throughout the day. Cell phone usage is limited to emergency use only while working in the field, and may be used during break times and lunch breaks. A minimum of two months verifiable experience necessary in the aforementioned.
