Job description
Operate large modern tractors, planters, sprayers, grain carts, combines, and support equipment. Run GPS/auto-steer, monitors, and rate controllers. Assist with planting, spraying, tiling, field operations, and harvest. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers. Assist with herbicide and fertilizer applications. Mix, load, rinse, and clean sprayer equipment. Follow all safety and chemical-handling procedures. Load/unload seed, chemical, fertilizer, and equipment. Maintain fences, clean field edges, and complete general physical labor. Grain handling, bin transfer, equipment setup, yard and shop organization. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
