Job description
We are a 1,750 acre regenerative farm and we grow corn, soybeans, small grains, sorghum, and cover crops. We operate modern Case IH and John Deere equipment with GPS and Precision technology. We store and transport our own commodities, and produce our own compost for the farm. Employees will assist in the operation of farm equipment during the planting, spraying, irrigation, harvesting, and grain cleaning of various crops. Employees will drive tractors/trailers and forklifts if qualified, load/unload/maintain grain bins, operate grain vacs/legs/conveyors/augers, perform the composting process of making and spreading, fill out work orders when necessary and communicate with shop manager, assist with facility construction and maintenance projects. Employees must have basic knowledge of using hand and power tools and use proper PPE and follow all safety standards. Employees will assist with all aspects of growing these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities. Employer may, at its sole discretion, provide pay increases based on longevity or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at their previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
Special Requirements
Job requires extensive walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements, frequent stooping and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license within 30 days of hire. Require 3 months experience.
