Job description

We are seeking seasonal help for the planting, maintenance, and harvesting of corn, milo, wheat, and alfalfa. Workers will operate a variety of farm equipment—including tractors, combines, planters, sprayers, and grain carts—for all stages of crop production. Responsibilities also include routine maintenance of equipment such as checking fluids, greasing, changing filters, and making minor repairs. Harvested crops will be hauled to on-farm storage bins and local elevators using farm trucks and grain trailers, with all hauling kept within a 150-air-mile radius of the farm; no commercial truck driving is required.

During the calving season, employees may assist with livestock care, including feeding, tagging, assisting with births, monitoring herd health, and treating minor illnesses. Additional duties may include fencing, welding small repairs, checking irrigation systems, cleaning equipment, and maintaining the farmyard and shop. Workers are expected to keep work areas clean and organized, report equipment issues promptly, and handle all tools and property with care.

Did you know that... there are 2 types of H-2 visas?

Agricultural workers get H-2A visas. H-2B workers are in non-agricultural jobs like construction.
