Farm Worker

Job description

Feed cattle and livestock; Clean water tanks and ensure cattle have access to water; Check on the health of cattle and monitor pastures; Vaccinate cattle, treat injuries and illnesses, and maintain health records; Assist with breeding activities; Separate and transport cattle to market or manufacturing plants; Clean barns, pens, and other facilities; Maintain and repair fences, gates, and farm equipment; Prepare barns for winter and pastures for grazing; Manage herds or flocks, including overseeing the growth and development of animals; Drive tractors.

Work schedules may vary, and employees may be assigned to rotating shifts, including evening or weekend work as needed. Duties may change during the workday depending on weather conditions or livestock needs. Workers will perform a variety of general tasks as assigned, consistent with the job description and within the certified hours.

Special Requirements

Must have 3 months farming experience. Must be able to use tractors, cutters, rakes, balers, hay spears, front-end loaders, cow shoots, and basic hand tools.
