Job description
The position involves operating a variety of tractors and agricultural equipment to perform essential farming activities,
including soil tilling, ground preparation, land maintenance, planting, irrigation, fertilization, spraying, cultivation,
harvesting, and transporting crops to elevators or storage facilities. Equipment that may be used includes, but is not
limited to, tractors with various implements, sprayers, combines, backhoes, mowers, and trackhoes.
Workers will also be responsible for loading and operating non-CDL farm trucks to transport agricultural products
within the farm and to designated storage areas.
In addition to equipment operation, duties include general maintenance, repair, and clean-up of farm infrastructure
such as storage sheds, pivot points, buildings, gates, barns, and all related machinery. Workers will use hand tools
and equipment to service, clean, and maintain vehicles and specialized agricultural machinery. Regular equipment
servicing is expected to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
The nature of the work is dynamic, with tasks and work locations subject to change frequently based on crop cycles,
weather conditions, and field demands. Flexibility is essential, as daily responsibilities will vary accordingly.
The employer retains the right to offer performance-based pay increases or discretionary bonuses based on tenure,
job performance, or other criteria determined solely by the employer
Special Requirements
Employees must be capable of lifting seed bags and loading planters and seed drills, with a minimum
lifting requirement of 50 pounds. Moderate cell phone use is permitted strictly for business purposes.
This is a non-smoking position, and employees are expected to adhere to all safety and operational
protocols while on the farm.
