Job description
Performs duties like: Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate and harvest pecans. Attach shaking device to each pecan tree. Operate mechanical pecan harvester. Operate pecan transport machine. Sort pecans on conveyor belt on the farm. Remove downed pecan tree limbs. Operate a pull-behind sprayer. Operate and maintain irrigation system. Farming with: pecans
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required.
