Agricultural Equipment Operator

Job description

We need seasonal employees to assist with our corn, wheat and sorghum crop production season. Our help is needed during the times requested due to planting, growing and harvesting season. Job duties will include: operate tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, irrigation equipment, operate other farm equipment, engage in planting, weeding, spraying and/or harvesting activities, fertilize, dust, and spray crops, load and unload crops or materials, manually or using conveyors, forklifts, or transfer augers, mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into machinery, observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions, weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information, attach equipment extensions or accessories, operate equipment to harvest crops, complete maintenance and repairs on irrigation equipment, record agricultural data, drive farm trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at the previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.

Employer will abide by all of Colorado's agricultural laws to include Senate Bill 21-087 ("SB87") and any subsequent Overtime and Minimum Pay Standards Orders (COMPS order) .

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, repetitive movements. Must be able to lift 100 lbs. Must have a regular driver's license. Requires 3 months farm experience.
