Agricultural Equipment Operator

Job description

Duties may include: Assist with daily farm functions including but not limited to the following: Operate various farm equipment (combines, tractors, trucks, grain carts, etc.) for planting, tilling, spraying, cultivating, fertilizing, and harvesting of crops. Maintain/repair machinery, wash and detail machinery. Ground maintenance on farm and/or housing i.e. weed eating, mowing. Mow road ditches and grain bin sites. Drive trucks to haul grain. Field operations including chisel plowing, operating a tractor with grain cart. Load/unload trucks. Maintain/clean shop area. Other miscellaneous duties assigned.

30-minute lunch break offered & other related Agricultural Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

Special Requirements

Must be 18 due to equipment use. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment.Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal.
