Farm Laborer

Job description

Workers will perform farming, harvesting and packing activities of fresh fruits and vegetables such as peppers, tomatoes, squash, cucumber and watermelon. Duties include general farm labor such as, but not limited to, weeding, staking, laying plastic, harvesting, and cleanup. This job will be done under extreme weather conditions such as heat, high humidity, direct sunlight, cold weather, possible rain, wind and exposure to pollen. Repetitive physical conditions such as prolonged walking, standing, heavy bending, stooping, reaching and lifting will be involved on a regular basis. Duties may include operating farm equipment such as tractors and field trucks.

Workers must adhere to all safety rules as instructed by supervisors and practice safety in all aspects of work. The employer is a drug-free workplace and has a zero-tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol in the workplace and in the employer-provided housing.
