Job description
On farms, in aviaries (large enclosures for confining chickens), install aviary systems and components including feed management, manure handling, and egg collection systems. Workers will use hand and power tools such as drills, hammers, and pliers to complete tasks including attaching chicken waterers, installing bird ramps and cage doors, mounting ventilation units, and positioning feed troughs. Workers will position and secure fans and inlets into structural openings, using appropriate tools and equipment. Installation involves lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, and stooping. Workers will also operate forklifts and scissor lifts as needed to safely move and install materials at height. Tasks require attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to perform duties with limited supervision.
Special Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry 60lbs/75yds. This job requires a minimum of one (1) month of agricultural experience handling both manual and mechanized tasks. Post-employment drug tests are paid for by employer when applicable.
