Job description

Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: plant, transplant, trim, spray, weed, prune, hoe, stake, maintain, and harvest to quality standards fruit, and tree crops; trim, train, trellis, prune, thin and tie plants and fruit trees; prepare fields/soil for planting; lay plastic weed barrier; maintain equipment, fields, orchards, and farm property; general farm clean up tasks, including mowing grass; drive and operate tractor, forklift, and other farm equipment to perform farm tasks; drive employer provided vehicle to and from the worksite and to other locations; drive trucks to deliver employer’s product to market and storage locations; assemble, disassemble, operate and repair irrigation equipment; assemble, clean, maintain and repair bins, boxes, buckets, and containers; load/unload crops; harvest apples, grade, sort and pack produce to customer standards; maintain a clean packing area. Other duties assigned under this order will be consistent with Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse under Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment Statistics Standard Occupational Classification Code 45-2092

Special Requirements

Job requires worker to complete tasks in general farm labor, hand harvest and packing of apples, cherries, peaches and plums.

Experience Requirement: 2 verifiable months of commercial tree fruit hand harvest experience required. Applicants must furnish job references from recent employers within the past 5 years establishing acceptable prior experience. Drug testing done at employers expense and not utilized as preemployment tool.

Season Commitment: Job offered requires worker be available for work for entire employment period.
