Job description
Worker may perform any of the following tasks: Attends to livestock in pastures or fields, feeds and waters livestock, herds livestock to pasture for grazing, applies medications to cuts and bruises, sprays livestock with insecticide, assist with castration, may clips I.D. notches, may brand animals, may assist with irrigation, planting, and harvesting of hay and shoveling horse and cattle stalls. May repair fences and gates to contain livestock. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to operate a 55 HP tractor or larger, Use of illegal drugs and excessive use of alcohol are not condoned or allowed. A post hire drug test (at the employers expense) will be required upon suspicion or upon incident or accident, failure or refusal of drug test is grounds for immediate termination.
Special Requirements
Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. The employer may offer additional work hours or these hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only.
