Job description

Resource Group US, LLC, is an organic recycling and compost technology company whose 81-acre
facility is comprised of a fully permitted borrow pit, green waste recycling facility, and 2-acres of
farming acreage used to cultivate various fruits and vegetables as trials for its compost products.
Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to
time. Workers are provided with a uniform.
Harvesting trials of organic plants (tomato-pepper): The worker will assist in the cultivation, growing
and harvesting of agricultural commodities on employer’s farm property, pulling produce of plants
into trial containers and placing containers on harvest equipment.
Vegetation clean-up: The worker will pick up vegetation off the ground and place on equipment by
hand and toss it into machine to collect. The worker will monitor the cleanliness of the containers and
remove any additional trash from produce inside the harvest containers and properly dispose of
unwanted trash. As containers reach full capacity, the worker may be required to place additional
containers (weighing approximately 60 - 80 lbs.) around the property and continue the clean-up
process.
Driving duties: Workers will pick up and transport other workers to and from their temporary living
quarters and the farm property using company 14-passenger van and pickup trucks.
Workers will haul highly perishable agricultural crops, mixed vegetables, compost, customized soil
blends mulch products directly from the farm fields to the processing facility (located on employer’s
farm property), using heavy trucks on a seasonal basis and during harvest season. The haulers are required to complete each step of the haul as part of the necessary field to processing facility for the
harvest. Haulers must be physically and mentally healthy. Each worker is expected to operate
vehicles efficiently and safely through all types of routes.
Maintenance duties: Workers will inspect equipment and vehicles daily and record all inspections.
Workers must be able to repair and maintain agricultural equipment and vehicles. Workers may
occasionally need to perform oil changes and similar maintenance duties. Workers may occasionally
assist with more advanced repairs under the supervision of the Maintenance Director. To perform
these duties, employees must have sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a mechanic shop
environment, which is located on employer’s farm property; walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods
of time, frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach and twist, push, pull, lift and carry up to
50 pounds, operate assigned vehicles and equipment and verbally communicate information.
Workers must be able to operate agricultural equipment, tractors, trailers, semi-trailers, and have
adequate knowledge to maintain and repair these vehicles. Must have a CDL or equivalent license,
pass a required driver’s license background check. Workers must have and maintain a suitable
driving record and be insurable by the employer’s insurance company. Workers may be requested to
submit to a background check and random drug or alcohol tests at no cost to the worker. Failure to
comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. All testing will occur
post-offer, pre-employment and is not part of the interview process.
