Job description
Workers will operate and maintain farm machinery for planting, cultivating, spraying, fertilizing, and harvesting crops including wheat, barley, durum, canola, flax, corn, sunflowers, and soybeans. Duties include attaching implements, general lubrication, minor repairs, and operating grain trucks to transport crops. Employees must follow safety procedures, complete tasks efficiently, and lift up to 50 lbs. A valid Class A driver’s license and experience handling various agricultural equipment are required. Miscellaneous duties related to small grain farming may be assigned.
Special Requirements
No experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level I Entry Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level I Entry Level, indicating that the job requires limited experience and routine supervision consistent with entry-level duties. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
