Job description

Employees will operate or assist with the operation of agricultural machinery for tillage, planting, fertilizing, and harvesting grain crops including canola, soybeans, pinto beans, wheat, and barley. They will handle grain and operate basic equipment used for on-farm storage, including transporting crops to storage post-harvest. Workers will perform field-related tasks such as rock picking, field maintenance, and seasonal cleanup. Duties include minor maintenance and cleaning of agricultural tools and equipment used in the field. Workers may drive and operate farm machinery in support of planting, cultivating, and harvesting processes. All duties are temporary and strictly agricultural in nature, directly tied to crop production. No non-agricultural work will be assigned. Due to the seasonal nature of the work and potential weather variations, daily hours may fluctuate. However, workers will typically work an average of 9 hours per day, 6 days per week. This position requires a Skill Level I (Entry-Level) classification. All job duties are in compliance with H-2A program regulations, and include housing, transportation, meals or kitchen access, and wages as outlined in the terms of employment.

Special Requirements

No experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level I Entry Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level I Entry Level, indicating that the job requires limited experience and routine supervision consistent with entry-level duties. The employer reserves the right to withhold the applicable housing deduction as permitted under program regulations, when approved and disclosed in the job order.
