Job description
We operate a family-owned custom harvesting crew that travels from our home in northeast Kansas in May. to northwest Texas up into south-central Kansas then to Western Kansas and into eastern Colorado. Daily activities include servicing machinery which includes tractors, combines, agricultural equipment operation of said machinery, transporting grain from field to an elevator or grain bin. Hours of work can include several hours or few hours depending on the weather. Grains harvested include wheat, corn, and soybeans. Drive a combine to harvest multiple grains and tractor and grain cart. Employees will need to complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. Will be required to assist with general farm duties when at the base location including yard maintenance and farm duties. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid $19.21/hr if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
Special Requirements
Job requires extensive sitting, repetitive movements, exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures and frequent stooping. The employer will conduct post-hire drug testing at no cost to the employer to enforce a drug-free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Must have a regular drivers license. Require 3 months experience.
