The laborers install many native plants and maintain these areas by hand weeding and using stringline trimmers. This is
primarily laborer work with the occasional use of wheelbarrows, hand tools, and handheld power tools. Evidently, this
is the exact same type of equipment utilized in landscaping work by landscape laborers. Other duties in the job
description that are also customary to landscaping work include: mowing, trimming, weeding, raking, watering, and
installing plants. This job description is meant to mirror that of a landscape laborer with the addition of storm water
basin and erosion control installation and maintenance, which is not atypical of landscaping work.

Provide ecological landscape services including maintenance and installation of stormwater basins and erosion control measures. Erosion control measures include but are not limited to installing silt fences, erosion control blankets, other erosion control measures, straw, seed, and mulch. Worker must be able to perform a variety of tasks without close supervision, which may include any combination of the following: mowing, trimming, hand pulling weeds, apply herbicides, raking, digging, watering, installing plants. Must exercise independent judgement; may be asked to demonstrate tasks to other employees but position does not include supervision of other workers.
Special Requirements
Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Post-hire random, post-accident and upon suspicion of use drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers.
