Job description
We farm 3800 acres of corn, soybeans, and wheat. We need an employee to assist with all aspects of raising these crops. Employee will be driving semi-truck with double trailers transporting our crops from field to the grain bin or to the elevator. The employee will also be transporting lime or manure to various fields. Employee will be driving a semi-truck and single trailer throughout the spraying season hauling water and chemical to the fields. Employee will help with maintenance of the farmyards, workshop, and equipment and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. Employee will be operating a variety of farm equipment to help with planting, combining, spraying, etc. No commercial truck driving is required. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at the previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
Special Requirements
Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. There will be extensive sitting with operating equipment. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license. Require 3 months experience.
