Field Crop Production Worker
Crops: Annuals, Berries, Cut flowers, Herbs, Vegetables

Workers will participate in all aspects of large-scale outdoor organic vegetable production. Primary duties involve field preparation, including the manual installation and removal of seasonal row covers and field trellising. Workers will perform direct seeding and transplanting in open acreage; mechanical and hand-hoeing for weed management; and the installation of field-scale drip and overhead irrigation systems.

Harvesting is performed manually in varying outdoor weather conditions, requiring the ability to identify crop ripeness at scale. Additional responsibilities include transporting harvested crops from the field to the wash station; washing, grading, and packing produce; and performing general outdoor farm maintenance such as repairing hoophouse structures and cleaning field equipment. The role requires significant physical stamina for repetitive lifting of 50 lbs, bending, and kneeling in an outdoor environment.
