Job description
Workers to perform the following job duties, but is not limited to:
Till soil, plant and cultivate grain.
Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, and drill to tractor.
Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops.
Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools.
Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust and spray crops.
Assist with irrigation – irrigate soil, using portable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps.
Assist with maintenance and service of irrigation equipment and farm machinery and implements.
Hauling grain to ethanol plant.
Assist with processing, doctoring and handling of cattle.
Assist with calving and caring for cows.
Assist with caretaking of cattle - like clean pens, maintain fence, corrals and pens.
Assist with feeding of cattle - like mixing feed, feeding cattle and check water holes for cattle.
Haul manure.
Crops: corn and soybeans
Special Requirements
A minimum of three months verifiable experience is required.
Workers must be able to obtain their drivers license within 30-90 days of hire.
Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive.
Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 50lbs.
Work is performed mostly outdoors, and workers will be exposed to hot and humid conditions.
No texting and use of cellphone during working hours, while operating machinery, equipment and driving vehicles.
Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
Smoking is prohibited in all farm buildings, vehicles, housing, and near equipment. These measures are essential to maintaining a safe and responsible work environment.
All tools are provided by the employer.
