Job description
Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops; Apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; Attach/detach implements; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Repair farm buildings and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, bailers and other hay equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, skid steers, and tractors. Must speak and understand English.
Special Requirements
Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
