Farm Worker Labor

Job description

The employer will furnish, without charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required in the performance of the specified work. Workers will be charged for any willful damage or loss of such tools and equipment.

Diversified crops: corn, beans, wheat, canola, hay & straw
Workers may fill planters with seed from 50lb. Bags.
Workers may operate equipment to prepare fields.
Workers may spray crops for weeds and grass.
Workers may apply water and fertilizers.
Workers may restock trucks and equipment with seed bags.
Workers may use equipment to prepare fields for planting.

Other Duties:
Workers may drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, mowing, and harvest and row crops.
perform variety of other duties such as husking and shelling corn, lubricating and repairing farm machinery
unloading grain onto conveyors to storage bins and elevators. Assist in set up of product for sale of crop.

Special Requirements

Alternative Work:
This could include workers preparing barns, preparing land for planting, draining fields, maintenance of tools and equipment, and other work that is directly related to crops and activities for which the worker was hired. Such work will be offered when climate or crop conditions preclude working in the primary activities stated above. Alternative work may only be required if the first week wage guarantee listed at 20 CFR 653.501 is invoked.
