Job description
1. Type of Crop: Strawberry Plant Position Description: “Strawberry Plant Planter” Work Description:
Employees will be working on moving platforms while planting bare root strawberry plants in an outside strawberry nursery. Their duties will be focused on placing bare root plants on mechanized planting wheels to ensure a consistent and even planting of strawberry plants. This demanding work will require focused, disciplined, and repetitive eye hand coordination and physical activity. The personal equipment required to perform these duties consist of Tyvek suits and nitrile gloves. These items will be provided by the employer. They may be tasked to operate any of the following field equipment Tractor or Forklift. May replant with shovel.
2.Type of Crop: Raspberry Plant Position Description: “Raspberry Root Planter” Work Description:
Employees will be working in an outside, raspberry nursery. Their duties will be focused on hand planting rows of raspberry root material. This demanding work will require extended periods of walking, bending or kneeling, focused, disciplined and repetitive eye hand coordination and physical activity. The personal equipment required to perform these duties consist of Tyvek suits and nitrile gloves. These items will be provided by the employer.
3.Type of Crop: Strawberry Plant Position Description: “Strawberry Row Tunnel Assembler” Work Description:
Employees will be working in an outside, strawberry nursery. They will be walking behind the strawberry planting machine. Their duties will be focused on final assembly of the strawberry plant row canopies. This work will require extended periods of walking, bending or kneeling, and repetitive eye hand coordination and physical activity. Attention to detail, disciplined focused and considerable physical activity will be required. The personal equipment required to perform these duties consist of Tyvek suits, hand trowel and medium grade gloves. These items will be provided by the employer They may be tasked to operate any of the following field equipment Tractor or Forklift
Special Requirements
Worker must posses 2 months of Nursery Experience in Strawberry and Raspberries.
