Farm Maintenance Worker

Job description

General Farm Maintenance, Equipment & Tool upkeep, Field Preparation & Support Tasks, Crop-related Tasks. Workers will perform general farm maintenance including maintaining fences, barns, and agricultural structures; maintaining work areas in and around fields and facilities; mowing and landscaping; cleaning and servicing farm tools and equipment; assisting with upkeep of irrigation systems, preparing land for seasonal operations; and other agricultural support tasks as needed. Workers may assist with minor equipment upkeep, seasonal crop labor, and transportation of farm materials to support crop & livestock operations. Workers must follow safety protocols, keep the work areas tidy, and perform duties as directed by supervisors.

The crops to be planted and/or harvested are peas, spinach, lettuce, kale, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, peppers, beans, corn, and squash. The livestock to be cared for are horses and chickens.

Special Requirements

Perform physically demanding labor for extended periods, lift & carry up to 50lbs, stand/bend/kneel/crouch for long hours, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and perform repetitive tasks with hand tools & equipment.
