Job description
Perform work in connection with the ginning of cotton such as driving truck and trailer to and from fields bringing cotton modules/bales to the gin for processing, hauling cotton seed, burrs, raw and processed bales; Responsible for the efficient operation and success of planting seed, chemical and gin warehouse including inventory management, shipping, receiving, and delivery; Perform duties such as inventory control, shipping and receiving, coordination of deliveries of seed, chemical, and fertilizer to farms and fields for application, develop strategies to maximize efficiency, assist management on day-to-day operational issues and make recommendations on improving operations; Job involves working inside and outside including on the farm in fields in various seasonal weather conditions including extreme cold or hot temperatures; Ability to work in dusty conditions. Must speak and understand English.
Special Requirements
Two (2) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain following hire appropriate CDL and obtain clean driving record to drive trucks. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
