Job description

The crops on which workers will work are onions and other vegetables, such as broccoli,
cauliflower, and carrots. Workers must be able to: prepare fields for irrigation by sprinkler or
drip delivery system; set up and move irrigation pipes and equipment; perform scheduled
irrigation of the fields; assist in preparation and planting/cultivation activities; assist with
seeding activities; operate farm equipment; assist in planting and cultivation activities; weed
and hoe crops; assist with harvest activities; perform farmwork incidental to farming the crop(s)
listed on this application; and other tasks and duties under SOC Code 45-2092. Related
duties may be assigned. Work is performed outdoors in highly varied weather conditions.
Frequent walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and kneeling is required. Being on one’s feet
for long periods of time is required. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds is required. Frequent
turning, pushing, and pulling is required. Dexterity to use and manipulate hand tools, farm
equipment, and crops is required. Vision, focus, and cognitive ability to accomplish the
functions above is required.

Special Requirements

Workers must have 30 days verifiable experience performing the job duties under Section A(8)(a). The work schedule under Section A(6) may be subject to change where weather, crops, or business needs demand. Work assignments, crew assignments, and assigned work tasks are at the sole discretion of the employer. For purposes of meeting the guarantee, workers will not be required to work more than the number of hours specified in this job order or on their Sabbath or Federal holidays. Workers must comply with the employers work rules and housing rules, which are set forth in full in this job order. Workers must comply with the employers personnel policies, including but not limited to its policies regarding safety, harassment/discrimination, abusive conduct, and drugs and alcohol. Workers must follow all reasonable and lawful instructions and directives. The employer reserves all management prerogatives not inconsistent with applicable law.
