Job description

Once the blueberries are picked, they will be brought to the packing warehouse. The workers will sort, grade, clean, pack, weigh, stack, load, and unload the blueberries. Workers must understand the mechanics of the packing machine. They must take care not to damage the berries. Workers will clean areas of trash and debris, sweep, mop, and clean restrooms, lugs and trailers. Workers must have good hand-eye coordination for the quality of the blueberries. Repetitive physical conditions such as prolonged standing, heavy bending, stooping, reaching and lifting will be involved on a regular basis.

Special Requirements

Workers must be constantly alert and adhere to all safety rules as instructed by the supervisor and practice safety in all aspects of work. Workers must take care to handle tools, equipment and product in a manner to avoid injury or damage. Workers whose job duties are stacking or dumping must be able to lift 50 pounds.
