Job description
This application encompasses multiple start dates of need. The employer anticipates the following range(s) of start dates in addition to the date listed in Section A.3:
May 1st, 2026
These supplemental ranges of start dates be subject to change due to weather, crop and market
conditions, and other factors.
Workers will perform all aspects of growing and harvesting Cherries, Pears and Apples. Pruning, thinning, harvesting and general orchard work. Most harvesting will be done by piece work. Employees are expected to perform work in a timely matter. If an employee is not able to perform work in a timely matter a verbal warning and additional training will be given. If performance is still not performed in a timely matter a written warning will be given with additional training. We will give a third written warning with training. After the third warning employee may be terminated. Note: Start and end times will vary depending on the commodity or seasonal weather conditions. Monday-Saturday they may start as early as 5:00 AM when the temperatures are too hot and their shift may end at 12:00 PM. When temperatures are too cold they may start as late as 10:00AM.
Special Requirements
Worker must possess 2 months of tree fruit experience.
4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 60lbs.
4g) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
4h) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools, wheelbarrows, fruit containers, etc.
4i) May require worker to sit and/or walk for extensive periods of time while sorting, picking, examining, weeding,
transporting, pruning, etc.
4j) Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing farm labor such as weeding, irrigating,
pruning, picking, removing debris, etc.
4k) There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the farm labor duties, for example picking,
sorting, pruning, shoveling, weeding, etc
