Job description
We are a custom harvesting business. We load and unload equipment from stop to stop. Need to be able to or are willing to learn how to operate all pieces of equipment this includes; Combine, tractor, and truck. Our equipment consists of new case combines and tractors, late model trucks in good condition (mainly from 1997, a few from the early 2000's). Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; clean work areas; hand pick and manually grade crops; inform farm managers of plants or crops progress; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; load inputs and
drive trucks to transport to fields; maintain grounds and landscaping; maintain inventory; operate self propelled machinery; record information about crops; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, combines or other
harvesting equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, self-propelled machinery, semi trucks, skid steers, straight frame trucks, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: canola, corn, grain sorghum, soybeans, wheat, Barley, Lentils, Chickpeas. Must speak and understand English.
Special Requirements
Two (2) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain following hire appropriate CDL and obtain clean driving record to drive trucks. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
