Job description
This is an application for farm workers and laborers for a farm that field crops, like triticale, corn and alfalfa.
This is a Skill level II position that requires at least 3 months experience of general farm labor, agricultural equipment operation, including vehicles that do not require a CDL, and irrigation systems. Workers will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision after given work tasks for the day.
All other duties assigned under this order will be both those duties of Agricultural Equipment Operator and Farm Worker and Laborer Crop, Nursery and Greenhouse, under the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment Statistics Standard Occupational Classification Codes 45-2091 and 45-2092.
The lifting requirement for this position is 60 pounds.
Specific Job Requirements:
General Farm Work will include the following duties
1. Maintain, drive, attach, and operate farm implements, tractors, equipment to till soil, plant, cultivate, fertilize and harvest crops
2. Make mechanical adjustments and repairs on farm machinery
3. May mix and/or spray chemicals (according to appropriate restrictive use laws, when/if applicable)
4. Remove undesirable and excess growth from crops or farm grounds
5. Remove rocks from fields, edges fields, concrete ditches, etc.
6. Pain, maintain, repair, farm structures
7. Perform general clean-up of farm areas
8. Operate motor bike, all-terrain vehicle (ATV’s), John Deere Gators, in the course of performing duties
9. Operate or maintain equipment used in agricultural production and field preparation such as tractors, irrigation equipment, 4-wheelers, pick-ups, trucks, and other commonly used equipment in agriculture.
10. Workers may also clear debris and garbage from fields and clean/maintain farm buildings, structures, equipment, and work areas
11. Load and mix chemicals in addition to operating tractors pulling sprayers and/or operate sprayer

Additional Wage Information:
The employer agrees that it will offer, advertise in its recruitment, and pay at least the Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR), the prevailing hourly wage rate, the prevailing piece rate, the agreed-upon collective bargaining rate, or the Federal or State minimum wage rate, in effect at the time work is performed, whichever is highest.
The employer may pay a higher hourly rate based on tenured performance and the Employer may, at its discretion, pay higher hourly rates for workers performing specialized duties. These higher rates will be based on individual factors including demonstrated skill/knowledge after hire, demonstrated experience after hire, certifications, and performance, and will be offered to all qualified H-2A and corresponding U.S. workers on the same terms. Such payments do not change the primary job classification or required experience level.
