Job description
Perform tasks involving physical labor for on-farm construction, maintenance, and repair of grain elevators, grain bins, and other grain storage structures and facilities used for on-farm and/or farmer-owned crop storage. Operate power tools and other equipment, such as but not limited to, forklifts, manlifts, and boomlifts. Drill holes in metal, and insert and secure screws, bolts, washers, and rivets. Perform bolting activities in connection with fabrication and assembly of components of grain elevators, grain bins, and other grain storage facilities. Apply finishing products to walls of grain bins and other grain storage structures. Clean and prepare sites, set support braces, erect structures and steel frames. Clean up rubble, debris, and other materials used in connection with the construction, maintenance, and repair of grain elevators, grain bins, and other grain storage structures and facilities. Buh hog and weed eat turnrows and work areas to keep worksites free of noxious weeds and tall grass. May be required to work into the night and on most weekends. The employer may request, but will not require, the employees to work on his or her sabbath.
Special Requirements
Three (3) months experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain driver's license within thirty (30) days following the hire and maintain a clean driving record.
