Job description
Workers will operate lawn maintenance equipment including commercial mowers, string trimmers, edgers, and backpack blowers, perform routine lawn care such as mowing turf areas, edging along sidewalks and curbs, and blowing debris from hard surfaces. Workers will trim and shape hedges, shrubs, and small trees using manual and powered trimmers, pull or spray weeds in landscape beds, lawn areas, and along hardscapes. Workers will maintain flower beds and landscaped areas by mulching, raking, and removing dead or damaged plants, and ensure job sites are clean and free of debris after each service. Workers will inspect landscaping for signs of disease, irrigation issues, or pest damage and report concerns to supervisor, and follow daily work schedules and instructions from crew leaders. Workers will perform basic equipment maintenance such as cleaning tools and checking fluids and comply with all safety procedures and company policies while on the job site. Workers may be asked to drive company vehicles in order to move equipment and materials if the worker has a valid driver’s license.
