Job description
Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, hand trucks,
forklifts, or transfer augers. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment
malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery.
Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors or combines.
Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery
malfunctions. Attach farm implements such as harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand
tools. Load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts,
transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks. Weigh crop-filled containers, and record
weights and other identifying information. Drive and operate farm machinery to harvest and
store grain crops. Drive and operate semi tractor trailers. Requires two workers that have CDL
for 25% of the time. Any tasks derived from a Standard Occupational Classification (SOC)
other than the SOC designated in this job order are strictly incidental in nature, performed only
on an occasional basis, and constitute less than the majority of the contractual period, and
shall not be construed as reflective of the primary occupation for which certification is sought.
Special Requirements
No minimum education requirement. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Extensive sitting is required. Repetitive movements is required. The workers will not be required to work for more than the number of hours specified in the job order for a workday, or on the worker's Sabbath or Federal holiday. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion.
